Beatles' Paris pillow fight

While the Beatles were on tour in Paris in January of 1964, they stayed at the George V Hotel. One night after a hectic performance the boys were in their room unable to sleep with the excitement of the night's concert. All of a sudden manager Brian Epstein burst into the room to tell the boys that I Want To Hold Your Hand had reached number one in the US and they'd be flying over to appear on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Scottish photogropher Harry Benson was with the Beatles in thier hotel room, and having heard them talk of a pillow fight earlier, suggested it might make for some interesting photographs. The following photos were captured by Benson after the Beatles found out they were heading to America.
