US Release: All You Need Is Love

All You Need Is Love was released in the US on July 17th 1967, ten days after the UK release. John Lennon wrote the song for Our World, the first live global television satellite link. The Beatles performed All You Need Is Love for the first time as the broadcast was watched by over 400 million people worldwide.

As with the UK single release, Baby You're a Rich Man was chosen as the B-side. The song reached number one in the US, the band's 14th US No. 1.
