UK No. 1: Band on the Run

Paul McCartney and Wings were number one on the UK albums chart for seven straight weeks, beginning on July 27th 1974, with Band on the Run.

The album was released in December of 1973 in the UK and US and went on to sell over 6 million copies worldwide; thanks in part to the hit singles Jet and Band on the Run.
