John and Yoko move into Tittenhurst Park
On August 11th 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono moved into their mansion at Tittenhurst Park, a 72-acre estate in Sunningdale, Ascot. The couple bought the property on May 4th 1969, from the son of Sir Egbert Cadbury, of the chocolate company Cadbury.
Lennon recorded his Imagine album at Tittenhurst Park and it was also used for The Beatles' final photo session on August 22nd, 1969. The couple sold the mansion to Ringo Starr in 1973 after moving to the US.
