Ringo buys Tittenhurst Park

On September 18th 1973, Ringo Starr purchased John Lennon's mansion at Tittenhurst Park. Lennon bought the house in 1969 and himself and Yoko moved in on August 11th of that year.

John and Yoko emigrated to the US on August 13th, 1971 and had no need for Tittenhurst Park, so they sold it to Starr.

The property is probably most famous for the recording location of John Lennon's Imagine album. It was also used for The Beatles' final photo session on August 22nd, 1969
