Paul McCartney meets Stevie Wonder

On February 3rd 1966, Paul McCartney went to see Stevie Wonder at the Scotch of St James club in London. Wonder was only 15 years old at the time but had already rose to worldwide fame on the Motown label.

After the show McCartney went to see Wonder backstage where the two chatted at length. The visit had a profound effect on the 15 year old Motown star, who went on to cover some of The Beatles' songs.

The two would later get together and record Ebony and Ivory in 1981, which spent seven weeks on top of the US Billboard Hot 100, and also reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.
