The Beatles Story

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Liverpool was The Beatles Story on Albert Dock. I received an invitation from David Milner, their marketing director. David gave me a very warm welcome; we had a coffee and some Beatle chat.

The Beatles Story is the largest permanent exhibition dedicated to telling the story of the Fab Four through imagery, video and memorabilia; they have one of John Lennon's pianos, a drum set from Ringo and George Harrison's first guitar to name but a few.

The tour takes you on an immersive two hour journey from The Beatles' humble beginnings to the height of Beatlemania and beyond; with interviews and narration from The Beatles themselves and family members.

After the tour I met briefly again with David Milner at their cafe, where I dined on Yellow Submarine sponge cake and an excellent latte, before heading to their merchandise store.

If you find yourself in Liverpool you owe it to yourself to visit The Beatles Story for a truly magical experience.
